    How we protect customers and providers on CityTaska

    Provider identity verification

    Every service provider must complete identity verification before their profile goes live. We verify government-issued ID (NIN or BVN for Nigeria) and confirm that the person offering services is who they claim to be. Unverified providers cannot receive or respond to quote requests.

    Verified reviews only

    Every review on CityTaska comes from a customer who completed a real, paid booking with that provider. We do not allow unverified reviews, self-review, or incentivised testimonials. Providers cannot edit or delete reviews. This makes our rating system genuinely trustworthy.

    Secure payments

    All payments on CityTaska go through our payment partner (Paystack in Nigeria). We do not store card details. Transactions are encrypted and auditable. We recommend customers never pay cash outside the platform — it removes your protection.

    Dispute resolution

    If something doesn't go as planned — provider didn't show up, quality was unacceptable, dispute over pricing — contact our support team within 7 days of the booking date. We review evidence from both sides and respond within 24 business hours.

    Reporting a provider

    Any customer can report a provider directly from their booking page. Reported providers are reviewed within 48 hours. Providers with sustained negative reports or verified safety incidents are suspended pending investigation.
